Retail Wish List: What New-to-Huntsville Retailers Would You Like to See?

In 2011, Mayor Tommy Battle shared the results of Huntsville’s first retail and restaurant ideas map. The list included new retailers Huntsville residents would like to see come to the area. Trader Joe’s, Macy’s, IKEA, Container Store and Whole Foods topped the retail list. Cheesecake Factory, Chipotle, Joe’s Crab Shack, Dunkin’ Donuts and Dave & Busters topped the most requested restaurants.

Three years later, two restaurant wishes have come true with the addition of Chipotle and Dunkin’ Donuts to Huntsville and Whole Foods opening in 2016.  New tenants including Michael Kors, Dickey’s Barbeque Pit (opening this summer), Texas de Brazil and Bravo! Cucina Italiana (both opening within a year) at Bridge Street, but many expressed disappointment when it was announced that Belk would be a opening a new flagship store.

After all of the announcements made, we want to know what new-to-Huntsville retailers you would like to see most?  Has your opinion changed since 2011?  Let us know by voting in our poll below.
