Visit Wayback Burgers At Waddell Plaza—Open Now!

Huntsvillians that live and work around the Research Park area have a new lunch and dinner spot thanks to the opening of Wayback Burgers at Waddell Plaza! Last week, the eatery officially opened to crowds of excited customers who were ready to get a taste of the delicious burgers, milkshakes, fries, and sides on Wayback’s menu.

Home to Smoothie King, Mei Wei, and Jersey Mikes, Waddell Plaza has become a popular dining spot. Wayback is the latest restaurant to open and Wingstop plans to open later this year.

“One of the things we pride ourselves on is always using the freshest, never-frozen beef,” said Patrick Conlin, Senior Vice President of the Wayback franchise. “We’re an old-time burger joint with variety—we serve everything from hand-breaded chicken breast sandwiches and tenders to housemade chips and hotdogs. It’s a quality product within an affordable environment, and we want every visit to be memorable for adults and children alike.”

The new restaurant is Wayback’s first location in Alabama, although the franchise has 132 locations in the United States and seven international sites.

“We also have 20 additional locations that are under construction in the United States,” said Patrick.

According to Wayback, they are one of the world’s fastest growing burger franchises, and it’s no wonder why. The restaurant offers delectable menu items, seasonal goodies, and a famous challenge that takes place every year on National Cheeseburger Day.

The Triple Triple Challenge—Can you do it?

Nine patties, nine slices of American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and a bun—that’s the infamous Triple Triple Challenge at Wayback. And you can be a part of it this year!

If you have an iron stomach and think you can devour this monstrous burger, you could end up $3,330 richer! Every year, the contestant who finishes the burger in the fastest time nationally wins the prize money and bragging rights for a full year. But be warned, the fastest time on record is a mere 38.95 seconds completed by Molly Schuyler of California.

“This year, the contest will take place on Monday, September 18th,” said Patrick. “We encourage everyone to come try. Just remember that you must be at least 16 years old to participate.”

Think you can win, Rocket City?

Seasonal goodies—Pumpkin Spice Milkshake!

Wayback’s hand-dipped milkshakes are something you simply can’t miss on your visit. With flavors like classic vanilla, café mocha, Oreo Mud Pie and more, there’s something that is sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.

But, as we are all aware, pumpkin spice season is upon us. And Wayback is pumped about serving the most popular flavor of the fall.

Pumpkin Spice fanatics can get their hands on the burger joint’s seasonal milkshake starting September 15th. It’s only available for a limited time, so put on your favorite fall sweater, grab your milkshake, and leisurely watch the leaves change. Sounds nice, right?

It’s not all about the burgers.

The one thing you’ll find at Wayback is variety. Although they have several choices of signature burgers, they also serve chicken, turkey, cod, hotdogs, and vegetarian options. So everyone in your group should be able to find something to fit their taste.

“Satisfying our customers is our number one priority,” said Patrick. “Part of that is offering several options. There is also plenty of room to customize your order with additional toppings and sauces.”

And the sides are plentiful! Instead of having to choose between fries or onion rings (which are on the menu), customers also get the choice of mac and cheese bites, housemade chips, chili, and even Irish nachos. Of course, there are also salads if you’re wanting a lighter selection.

Online ordering program.

If you’re in a hurry and need food fast, Wayback can help you out. The franchise rolled out their online ordering program for patrons to make their selections ahead of time and have the food ready for pickup upon their arrival.

“It’s a fast-paced world and not everyone has time to stop in for lunch,” said Patrick. “But that doesn’t mean they have to sacrifice a quality meal. Our online ordering program lets customers skip the line and have their order ready when they need it.”

Just visit Wayback’s website to make your order.
