Tenant Announcement! Scout & Molly’s Boutique Coming To The Avenue!

In recent years, Downtown Huntsville has transformed into a dynamic neighborhood offering endless options for dining, living, and entertainment. It’s impossible to ignore the evolution of the area as you walk, ride, or bike down its busy, colorful streets.

New shops are popping up every day. And with the addition of urban living communities, pocket parks, and art-filled alleyways, the downtown area has become the mecca for the “Live-Work-Play” lifestyle.

The opportunities for unique retail are abundant, and Scout & Molly’s will join the downtown community with its newest location at The Avenue. The boutique will be located next to Church Street Purveyor in a 1,272 SF space. In addition to bringing more soft goods retail to downtown, the women’s boutique will offer an inventory centered on the Huntsville customer.

 Projected Store Hours:

Monday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Sunday 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.

“The revitalization of the downtown area is one of the best things to happen to the city in years,” said Lori Mullins, owner of Scout & Molly’s future Huntsville location. “The project has provided the city and surrounding areas with a centralized location for entertainment, art, and food while preserving our local history and culture.”

Scout & Molly’s began in Raleigh, NC, in 2002 and was the dream of entrepreneur and Founder, Lisa Kornstein. Scout & Molly’s is where today’s transcending woman goes to find that special little something that’ll fit just right. Scout & Molly’s boutiques are merchandised with a simple rule in mind: “No style fits all,” which is why maintaining individuality while dressed in the latest trends is a necessity for all of its customers. Scout & Molly’s locations are home to your favorite designers and unique finds that are sure to produce both confidence and compliments.

“As the owner of its downtown location, I will work with both the clients and the Scout & Molly’s buyers to provide clothing and accessories that match the unique style of Huntsville women,” said Lori.

Shoppers at the new boutique will never have to worry about stale styles. Lori said that new brands are continuously being sought by Scout & Molly’s, ensuring that updated inventory is always available. Among the brands carried by Scout & Molly’s include makers like Fifteen Twenty, Sanctuary, and AG Jeans. The boutique will also offer a free styling program, closet makeovers, and host private shopping events.

“We can’t wait to be an active member of the downtown retail community,” said Lori. “The Avenue developers are vested in Huntsville and the success of downtown; no other Huntsville retail and residential environment offers what The Avenue does.”

The Avenue – Urban Living (And Retail) At Its Best

Charlie and Sasha Sealy, developers of The Avenue, realized the brilliant opportunity to create a true “Live-Work-Play” mixed-use development that would bring Huntsville residents a convenient place to live while giving them options to wine, dine, shop, and play all within one facility. Now with the critical mass of people living in Downtown Huntsville, the Sealys are seeing more and more retailers interested in coming to The Avenue.

“We are very excited to welcome Scout & Molly’s to The Avenue,” said Sasha. “The stylish boutique is well-known in larger cities like Nashville, and this will be its first location in Alabama. The boutique features one-of-a-kind clothing, jewelry, and accessories, and will complement our development by adding to the downtown lifestyle.”

The Avenue is increasingly becoming a sought-after retail space for several reasons, including the important component of synergy among tenants. Crunkleton broker Anusha Alapati worked directly with Scout & Molly’s and The Avenue to create the ideal match.

“Retail synergy is important for any successful shopping district,” said Anusha. “Crunkleton has been working to craft a cohesive tenant mix at The Avenue, as well as other projects in downtown.” Anusha also worked closely with other key downtown developments like The Garage at Clinton Row.

“The addition of Scout & Molly’s will continue the city’s efforts of turning the downtown district into a stellar shopping and entertainment district,” she said. “It’s only going to grow from here.”

Welcome Scout & Molly’s Boutique!

For Lori, August can’t come soon enough. She’s ready to open her doors and showcase the personality and versatility that Scout & Molly’s will bring to downtown.

“I believe the women who live in Huntsville will appreciate the fact that they no longer have to drive to Birmingham, Nashville or Atlanta to find those special pieces of clothing,” said Lori. “They can find it in their own backyard—right here at The Avenue. We are very appreciative of this opportunity, and we look forward to increasing synergy, enhancing downtown, and creating lasting relationships with our customers. See you in August, Huntsville!”

Construction Update #2: The Garage At Clinton Row

There have been some big changes at The Garage At Clinton Row since our last construction update in June, so we decided it was about time for a follow up post!

Here’s where we’re at in the construction process:

  • Almost all the suites are fully constructed and tenants are starting to get in and put their own unique personal touches on each space with their final build out.
  • The brand new exterior siding is up in front of the store fronts and  features brick, two different textures of wood planks, and industrial inspired metal siding details.
  • All the windows, doors and even two full size roll-up garage doors have been installed in the development.

All that’s left is for the tenants to finish building out their spaces, signage to be installed and (the element I’m more excited for) the current chain-link fencing to be replaced with brand new custom, decorative, metal panels on the sides of the building!

Indigo Shoppe Finds A New Home In Downtown Huntsville At The Garage

JMP_1760If asked to describe her store, Caitlyn Replogle has just one word for you: eclectic.

Founded just over a year ago, Caitlyn opened her boutique, Indigo Shoppe, in the Meridian Arts district of Downtown Huntsville as a place that could merge together her love of free-spirited bohemian fashion and her passion for supporting locally-made products.

“Most of our stuff is made locally, like the artwork, candles, lotions, soaps, and stationary,” explained Caitlyn. “We also feature a few local designers, it’s a good way to get their name out there and I feel like things that are made locally or handmade tend to have more meaning.”

And now, just a year after opening, Caitlyn is excited to take the next step in growing her business by relocating it to The Garage At Clinton Row. “We’re still pretty new, so this is taking a big step forward, but I think it’s a good step,” said Caitlyn. “My personality and my vision are downtown and the things that I carry in the store really fit in with the downtown theme, sort of funky and eclectic, and so I feel like The Garage will be the perfect spot for us.”

Curating a unique collection of bohemian, modern-vintage inspired goods, including women’s clothing, accessories, and a selection of beauty products, gifts, artwork and homegoods, it’s Caitlyn’s goal to create a space where her shoppers can go and “not just get clothes, but come in and find something unexpected,” she explains.

“I try and make it so anybody in any age range can come in and find something, so it’s a good mix,” said Caitlyn.

Caitlyn plans to relocate her shop to The Garage At Clinton Row in Downtown Huntsville in early October of this year.

To stay connected with the shop, get updates on the store’s progress, and be the first to know about any upcoming events, follow Indigo online: on FACEBOOK and on INSTAGRAM!

Roosevelt & Company Brings The Full Service Men’s Provisioner Back To Downtown Huntsville.

rooseveltandco_huntsville
For nearly a generation, men’s retail has been focused almost solely on technology and sports with little attention to fashion, grooming and household goods. However, with tailored fit garments finding their way back into fashion and a growing number of designers embracing the classic styles of the 1920s, 30s and 40s, men are starting to ask for more. Luckily, Roosevelt & Company has the answer.

“I think from our perspective, ever since we’ve lived in Huntsville, Alabama (a little over 10 years now), there hasn’t been a store that has met that need,” Meggan Crunkleton, CEO of Roosevelt & Company, explained.

After years of traveling out of town to cities like Birmingham, Nashville and Atlanta to do their shopping, Meggan and her husband/business partner Wesley Crunkleton have decided that enough is enough. The time has come for Huntsville to have a men’s store of its own.

Roosevelt & CompanyPartnering with Roosevelt Upton III, who will serve as the director of retail operations, and retail consultant Miranda King of Haymakers & Co. in Nashville Tennessee, the pair plans to bring a brand new, full-service men’s lifestyle store to Huntsville, Alabama this fall.

“I’m excited to open a store where the men of our community can have options. I’m excited for there to be a place that is accessible, lets them feel good about themselves and find the quality clothing and lifestyle products that they’re looking for,” Meggan said.

In addition to meeting an underserved need in the community, Roosevelt is also passionate about the store’s location in the brand new adaptive re-use development, The Garage At Clinton Row in Downtown Huntsville. “It reminds me of my hometown back in Michigan, it’s not a large city at all, but the downtown area, back then, was the place to shop. There was a men’s store there that has been around for a long time, and that is where men could be men. And that’s what we want to bring to Huntsville.”

The store, which plans to open in early November, will be a complete men’s lifestyle store carrying items such as premium denim and sportswear, sweaters, buttons-ups and tailored clothing. In addition the store will feature a curated selection of gifts and provisions including, apothecary products, candles, travel bags, leather goods, sunglasses, barware, shoes, furniture as well as feature an in-store, one-chair, master barber for a complete one-stop shopping destination.

“We want to have a place for anyone where, if they need to buy a gift for a man in their life, they know they’re going to Roosevelts. Because they know they can find something there at various price points, but at each price point, it’s going to be a quality product that they can feel good about,” said Roosevelt.

But more than just providing a space where men can go shopping, Roosevelt & Company’s vision is to create a full service environment that welcomes anyone to linger, relax and build community with one another.

From fashion, to household goods, to grooming and the perfect haircut, for Roosevelt & Company, it’s about building relationships with the men of our community along the way, growing with them, and giving them the confidence they need to go after their dreams.

To stay updated on all the new brands and products the store will be bringing to town, check out their website HERE and be sure and follow Roosevelt & Co. on, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram where they’ll be making weekly updates and announcements about the store. You can also enter to win a $100 gift card to Roosevelt & Co. each month by subscribing to their monthly email newsletter HERE. The store will be drawing one lucky winner from their subscriber list each month leading up to their grand opening in November!  In addition, the first 100 subscribers will also receive a special gift at their grand opening this fall.
